Closure
Neither condemned,
Nor eulogised;
Yet sought-after
Like a blood diamond!
I searched my soul
For that liberating pill
To sleep the apparition
Of my memorable past
Neither found,
Nor taken;
Yet desired
Like a summer rain!
I begged the heavens
For a healing leaven
To let me free
To let me be
Love is blind!
They said.
Breakups?
Darkness itself!
I seasoned the storm
In hope of that northern star
As storms crashed the mast
Of my Black Pearl.
I sniffed around
Like a hunter dog
Seeking wild stench
That may satisfy my master.
Then fate caned me
A new lesson
It isn't found
But given
It isn't sought after
It is brutally gifted
It isn't a liberating pill
It's a excruciating relief
Neither me
Nor she
Knew the cure
But duly exchanged
Storm of umpteen nights
Halted by a rolling thunder
As we gracefully parted
In the garden of closure
